Notice everything went different
And the world didn’t end
And the sun still sets
Hearts warmed in rays
And skin clings and sins
Of saving the day
I can’t take the pain
Of being so far away
Another day
We’ll find a way

The birds love your hair
They remember last year
You kept them warm
I’ll keep you warm

I’m scared of dying
And I still don’t try
Hard enough for me
It seems
I’m adrift and split
find me
Take your time with me
I just want attention
Memory retention
You could be my prevention
Or new inspiration
Instead I’m frustrated
Pinned by needs and needles
I think you’re the in between
I think you’re what I need
